POSITION OVERVIEW:
This person will be the primary technical and applications support contact for some of Intersil's major accounts in the Bay area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The main responsibility of this position is to secure proprietary design wins across a variety of Business Units. The person will also be asked to provide regular feedback for product definition and direction. This person will report to the Technical Lead. QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have: Power and analog circuit design experience, Strong knowledge of power management applications and preferably will have at least 5 years of experience, as well as a professional attitude with ability to multi-task and prioritize. This is a Strategic application engineering position reporting to the Strategic Applications Manager. The successful candidate will work with the business units to define differentiated products and create new IP for the consumer product line at Intersil. Responsibilities

• Key lead in the Product Definition Process working closely with the business units to add company IP and define differentiated products.

• Technical anchor in Marketing Department
• Assist the business units with key design in activity
• Interface with other groups within the company on a regular basis.

Knowledge, Requirements and Skills
• At least 6 years of application engineering/product definition experience.
• Strong Individual contributor as well as good team building skills.
• Experience with all phases of design, verification, bring-up and validation for chips and boards.
• 5+ years of system level design &amp; debugging experience.
• Must be well balanced between solid system level technical knowledge and ability to interface with key customers and the sale force.
• BSEE; MSEE or equivalent.
• Deep understanding of power topologies and their uses.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job Description:
The Optical Systems Solutions Product Line is looking for a Lead or Staff Software/Firmware Engineer to participate in projection display reference design projects. Reporting to the Applications Manager, the selected individual will develop robust firmware for use in handheld projection displays and will work with applications and design engineers to develop applications for device testing. Other responsibilities include packaging firmware and GUI application into the SDK and writing technical manuals for SDK and applications utilization.
This position requires a good understanding of system level software and firmware along with basic concept of hardware and ASIC. We are looking for a self motivated and creative team player to join an exciting product line and a growing development team.

Additional Requirements:
•At least 7 years of embedded firmware development experience
•Strong embedded software programming skills on Window based application development, proficient in C, assembly language
•Proficiency in MS-Windows application programming and good understanding of Window OS between application, DLL, driver and low level calls
•Experience with 8051, PIC and ARM based system programming
