Position Overview:
Intersil is growing a centralized Digital Physical Design/Design Automation team to work on key projects involved with large scale mixed-signal design projects. We are seeking an experienced engineer to be based in Milpitas, CA to help develop and architect new methodologies for deep sub-micron chip developments. This individual will be heavily involved with planning and driving products from RTL to GDS. Specific tasks will include design floor planning, place and route, timing analysis and verification including power, IR, EM and signal integrity analysis. Drive power analysis, physical design and timing/noise/DFM closure. Establish DFM flows and develop software to automate and evolve the methodology.
Job Requirements:
- MSEE or MSCS w/ 10+ yrs experience of digital physical design and design closure.
-Must have DSM experience at 90nm and below.
-Exposure to large SOC developments with knowledge down to transistor level issues.
-Expert with flat and hierarchical flows.
-Spice analysis experience of critical path timing.
-Requires excellent software skills, Perl, TCL or Python.
-Expert in every aspect of RTL2GDS.
-Familiarity with DFT, logic verification tools and custom mixed signal flows.
-STA experience with SI and OCV and MMMC.
-Power user of Cadence and Synopsys toolsets.
-Ability to own and complete projects through tapeout.
-Experience of physical verification for multi million gate mixed signal designs.
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
-Ability to work in a team environment.
