Title: Distribution Sales Manager
Reports to: Director of Distribution Sales Americas
Assigned territory:
•Western Area - CA, NV, WA, OR, ID, AZ, NM, CO, UT, MT, WY and Western Canada.

Primary Role:
To promote Intersil products through the Distribution channel within the assigned territory. To provide support, training and direction to Distribution branches within the assigned territory. Develop and coordinate programs in conjunction with Intersil channel marketing to promote the Intersil brand and increase revenue.
•Develops and executes sales plans to meet mutually established sales quotas for all focus distributor branches within the assigned territory.
•Responsible for driving distribution programs and processes at the branch level, including but not limited to registrations, FAE certification, business reviews, product launches.
•Assists in establishing and maintaining rapport between Intersil management, Manufacturer's Representatives (where applicable), field sales and Distributors through meetings, group activities, training and account coordination.
•Develops and executes plans to increase product familiarity and market knowledge at distributors within assigned territory.
•Coordinates planning with Intersil Sales Engineers to understand fulfillment needs at major accounts.
•Develops and executes plans to maintain and increase the visibility of Intersil products.
•Assists in closure of major purchase orders within territory.
•Communicates and reports distributor activities to all appropriate Intersil personnel, as required.
•Keeps informed of new products and other general information of interest to Distributors.
•Makes joint calls with Distributor Sales and FAEs to target customers as appropriate.
•Performs other related duties as assigned by Sales Management.
Candidate will have:
•Strong in depth knowledge specific to distribution in the Semiconductor market
•Proven track record of exceeding goals.
•An in depth understanding and a well established track record working with the distribution channel
•Familiarity with forecasting, budgeting, registration programs and developing strategies to win key business opportunities.
•A working relationship with key branches and channel customers in the assigned territory.
•Exceptional organizational skills including time management and planning as well as the proven ability to motivate and lead indirect resources.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills are required as well as problem solving capabilities and critical thinking.
•Face to face meetings throughout the Area on a regular basis will be required resulting in a minimum expected 50% travel requirement.
Education & Experience
•10+ years experience in the Semiconductor industry, including at least 5 years with a heavy emphasis on distribution sales in the assigned territory
•Knowledge of, and working relationships with, Intersil’s distribution channel partners in the assigned territory.
•Required: Bachelor's degree
Preferred: Bachelor's in a technical field (BSME, BSEE, Industrial Technology, etc).
•The ideal candidate will be located in the Silicon Valley Area of California.
