Job Summary:
• Extract model parameters and create compact models for semiconductor devices for Analog Mixed Signal and Power Management technology and applications.
• Generate optimized statistical model libraries that accurately predict design sensitivities to process variation. Use statistical analysis (Smart, Monte-Carlo, DC-match) to develop an integrated modeling platform “process –to-models-to-circuits-to-yield” and parameters correlations to improve the manufacturability and yield
• Perform device model QA, verification and work with foundries to improve model accuracy for AMS and Power management applications.
• Provide device and process characterization to resolve modeling, design and product issues.
• Generate and implement validation and models tracking methodologies against comprehensive device, sub-circuits and product performance including DC, AC, RF, noise, thermal, and proximity effects across entire geometry
• Generate modeling structures and test chip layout.
• Model generation from TCAD tools
Job Qualifications:
• Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Solid State Physics (PhD is preferred)
• At Least 10 years of Device Modeling experience
Minimum Requirements:
• Excellent Knowledge of device and process technology in mixed-signal, power management, and high voltage applications; deep submicron is a plus
• Excellent Knowledge of Cadence Design Platform, Virtuoso, Spectre, IC/CAP, HiSim, PSP, MOS9, BISM3/4, and SPICE
• Strong understanding of circuit simulations, device characterization, and modeling tools and requirements for analog and power management circuit applications.
• Solid experience in solving analog circuit simulations problems, including, convergence, speed and inaccuracy
• Proficiency with the implementation of compact models using Verilog A
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics and its relation to SPICE models and coefficients
• Familiar with device process technology in analog, mixed-signal, high voltage, and power management applications
• Good Knowledge of TCAD and initial models generation from TCAD results
