POSITION OVERVIEW:
The selected individual will set the direction and lead the definition and development of advanced Power Device Technologies (discrete and monolithic), targeted for a new generation of Power Management and Consumer products. The work includes the definition and maintenance of technology roadmaps, the design and development of best-in-class advanced device structures and process technologies, the release to manufacturing of high-efficiency and low-cost power management products based on the new devices and technologies.
KEY REQUIREMENTS AND KNOWLEDGE:
The individual we are searching for should have expert knowledge of advanced Discrete and Monolithic Power Devices (vertical and lateral MOSFETs), including design, fabrication, optimization and applications. The candidate must have a solid understanding of semiconductor technologies utilized for power devices (discrete vertical MOSFETs, discrete and monolithic lateral MOSFETs, trench-gate MOSFETs, charge balance devices, high-frequency transistors), as well as strong innovation, execution and technical leadership skills.
Experience in most of the following is expected:
•Strong device physics and semiconductor device fabrication experience
•High-Power Packaging including top and bottom exposed QFN, wafer level CSP, Flip-Chip-On-Lead, bumping and RDL
•DC to DC power converter design and optimization
•Power Device characterization (wafer level and package level)
•Device and Process (architecture and flows) design, simulation (TCAD experience preferred) and development(device and test structure design and layout, design rule definition and optimization, DOE, unit process definition and optimization, process flow design, integration…).
•Semiconductor device manufacturing, process transfer and ramp-up, foundry interface.
•Good communication and documentation skills as well as Project management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least a Master in Electrical Engineering is required. PhD preferred, Minimum 12 years of experience in the industry.
