We are recruiting for a Lead Buyer position in Palm Bay, Florida. This position will initially focus on purchasing New/Used Equipment and other capital expenditures.


General aspects of the buyers position involve the following: Reviews and analyzes purchase requisitions. Processes purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers. Develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive. May recommend cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis or alternative sourcing. Interacts closely with suppliers and QA to resolve quality and delivery issues. Keeps management informed on market trends assessment, pricing, and product availability for the equipment, goods and services for which they are responsible.

Specific aspects of this initial assignment are:

• Analysis of the company capital Plan and creation of a coordinated purchasing plan

• Sourcing of New/Used equipment to meet the coordinated purchasing plan

• Negotiation of Build specifications , delivery dates , total cost and general terms and conditions with the suppliers to ensure on time and within budget execution.

• Purchasing of other capital expenditure as required by the company capital plan and coordinated purchasing plan

• Provide pricing to the requesting community for the creation of Capital Requests / AFE’s

• Creation and on-going execution of an equipment supplier management program including a continuous improvement/cost reduction program.

Qualifications

Education - BS degree in related field or equivalent

EOL (End Of Line) engineer with responsibility starting with package seal through final Assembly including Visual/Mechanical inspection and yields. Responsible for insuring all processes meet the Military specifications requirements. Responsible for the daily engineering sustaining activities and process development for his area. Tool responsibility includes package seal furnaces and welders, Radioactive Fine Leak Testing, Freon Gross Leak Testing, Temp Cycle, PIND (Particle Impact Noise Detection), Lead Trim, Lead Form and backside code marking. Insures all SPC processes and process yields are maintained and implements corrective action to ‘Out of Control’ points. Establishes tool calibration and Preventative Maintenance schedules for tools in his area of responsibility and insures all schedules are maintained. Also, manages 3 maintenance technicians to perform required PM’s and repairs for all of Assembly.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
The Test Engineering position requires the H/w design, test program generation, test solution debug, product evaluation and releasing a production worthy test programs. The position requires good communication, problem solving and teamwork skills.

Intersil Corporation is seeking a candidate for a Test Engineering summer internship in our Signal Path Products group.

Description:
Evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of reduced code set linearity testing. Existing Intersil converters will be evaluated to determine linearity performance with full code set. Then based on extensive characterization a method to reduce the code set without compromising linearity performance will be determined. Supporting pattern generator algorithms will be defined. Ultimate goal will be to significantly reduce test time without compromising linearity data integrity.

Qualifications:
Candidate must be actively pursuing BSEE, MSEE preferred.
Candidates must be familiar with Spice or similar circuit simulators, and should have a basic logic design background. Candidates must be knowledeable in the areas of semiconductor components and analog design. Familiarity with various common PC programs is required.

Overview:
This position is an individual contributor working in the Corporate Process Reliability Department under the Technology Development Group. The focus is on improving product reliability by developing and implementing robust electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electrical overstress (EOS) protection including mitigation of latchup effects. The selected candidate will work closely with the design groups to ensure proper implementation of ESD to meet corporate and product ESD goals. The selected candidate should also be willing to expand responsibilities covering reliability failure mechanisms and to learn failure analysis techniques.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
• Design, Develop and characterize ESD structures in new and existing processes
• Internal and foundry process characterization for ESD/EOS robustness
• Develop and Publish ESD guidelines and rules, (including “Best Practice Recommendations”) for assigned processes
• ESD test chip design and layout
• ESD design debug and failure analysis (structure and product levels)
• Conduct ESD design reviews on new products
• Ensure proper implementation of ESD on assigned products
• Train ESD implementation concepts to Design and Layout Engineers
• Collaborate with Design for future ESD needs

Key Requirements and Knowledge:
• Masters in Electrical Engineering or Physics with 5+ years experience in ESD design; Ph.D. preferred
• Strong background in device physics with an understanding of digital and analog circuit design
• Proficient with Cadence design tools including schematic, simulation, and layout
• Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills
• Must be work both independently and as a part of a larger team; self motivated
• Competent in the use of lab tools and ESD characterization equipment
• Experience in high speed digital/analog, or discrete transient voltage suppression (TVS) a plus
• Proficient with TCAD tools (Silvaco and/or Synopsys) a plus
